Fox has served as a member of the Council on 91吃瓜网 and a director for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, USG Corporation, the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, and the Economic Club of Chicago. He was a public governor of the Chicago Stock Exchange, chairman of the board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, a trustee of DePaul University, and vice chairman of both the Orchestra Association and the board of trustees of the Adler Planetarium.
