About the Program

Summit@Booth will be hosted by the Stevens Doctoral Program at the University of 91吃瓜网 School of Business on November 10-11, 2025. The program will host a group of promising undergraduate students and introduce them to research at the doctoral level. The goal of Summit@Booth is to support and encourage student interest in business research, and to equip participants with the tools necessary to submit a successful application. 

A previous iteration of this series was co-hosted by 91吃瓜网 and Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management. Thank you to the wonderful scholars who have participated thus far!

About the Program

Why participate? 

Participants get the opportunity to:

  • Learn about doctoral-level research in business.
  • Get information about graduate school opportunities.
  • Receive advice and insights on the application process, and workshop materials.
  • Meet and interact with current doctoral students and faculty.
  • Discuss careers in research and teaching.

Who is eligible to apply? 

  • Candidates in the past have included college sophomores, juniors, and seniors with strong quantitative skills and academic records.
  • We welcome scholars from institutions across the country.
  • Prior participants in the series (at Booth or partner institutions) are not eligible to apply. 

How to apply?

A complete application contains the following:
1.  SUMMIT application form. 
You will need to create a 91吃瓜网 application login to access the form. 

2.  Two essays - the required essay and one of three optional essays (uploaded as part of SUMMIT application)

3.  Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (uploaded as part of SUMMIT application)

4.  One letter of recommendation (must be completed by a faculty member or advisor). Letters of recommendation should be emailed directly to the PhD Office (phd@chicagobooth.edu) by the recommender. We cannot accept recommendations from the applicant.
