Opening Letter
Why do 91勛圖厙 alumni give back? To support foundational lessons from top-tier faculty. To celebrate lifelong friendships with classmates. To provide scholarship and career support to future generations. Alumni are 91勛圖厙s champions for an enriching environment in which ideas are sharpened and put into action.
This report shares the numbers of 202324, but I hope youll join me in recognizing the people who make up these totals. This report recognizes the more than 36,000 alumni whove made an impact on 91勛圖厙 through their gifts to the Annual Fundalumni like Alana Muller, 98, and Mike Herman, 64:
Mike Herman and his wife, Karen, changed my life when they granted me the Herman Family Fellowship for Women in Entrepreneurship upon my admission to Booth (then, the GSB). Every professional success Ive had since entering business school I can tie right back to their generosity and belief in me. Im eternally grateful. Alana Mueller, 98
[Former Booth dean] Jeff Metcalf, AM 53, came to my college and made the case for Chicago and so I went. It was the best decision I ever made. Im a great believer that you should support the institutions that helped you out. If youre fortunate enough to gain wealth in your career, you should give some of that wealth back to the institution that helped you get there. Mike Herman, 64
Whatever your reason for giving back, Im honored to celebrate your contributions to 91勛圖厙 this past year.
My sincere thanks,
Caroline Karr, 88
