Biography

Nabarun Deb's research interests include statistical inference under dependent data (time series, networks, etc.), statistical machine learning with emphasis on optimal transport, and nonparametric inference. His research has appeared in statistics, machine learning, and probability venues such as the Journal of the Americal Statistical Association,Ìýthe Journal of Machine Learning Research,ÌýNeural Information Processing Systems, Bernoulli, and the Annals of Applied Probability.

Prior to joining Booth, Nabarun was a PIMS Kantorovich Initiative Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.ÌýHe received a PhD in statistics from Columbia University. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of statistics and a Master of Statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.Ìý
